Daily Reflection: Friday, June 2

Friday June 2

Jesus did not overturn the tables of the money changers in the temple because they were there, but because they were cheating the people in their interactions. We cannot go to prayer unless we are able to make the connection between it and the way we live our lives. Prayer is never only a vertical relationship between us and God. Our prayer must reflect our relationships with each other. The prophet Micah tells us to act justly, to love faithfulness, and to walk humbly with our God.
