Daily Reflection: Saturday, June 3

Saturday June 3

The chief priests, scribes and elders asked Jesus about his authority to preach his message. Jesus had made his authority well known by the works that he did and refused to get into an argument with them. Those who were threatened by Jesus’ teaching spent a lot of time trying to catch him so they could get rid of him! We know that they eventually succeeded but he never wavered from the truth that he came to share with us. We are invited to open our hearts to the new that Jesus taught, sometimes needing to drop what we think we know for what God is trying to tell us in the here an now.
