Good Friday April 8, 2023
“Father, into your hands I commend my spirit.” Luke 23:46
Today as we listen to the words of the Passion, and venerate the Cross, we are impressed again and again with Jesus’ act of giving himself over to the Father out of love. The fidelity of Jesus to his mission is what brought him to this ignominious end. The ultimate giving of himself to death on the Cross, teaches us the depths of God’s love, calls us to rejoice in that love and challenges us to live in it.
