In today’s gospel reading from John we read how the risen Christ appeared to the twelve while they went fishing. After they finished fishing, Jesus had breakfast with them. This mirrors the call of Peter where Jesus tells him that he will become fisher of human beings. This event could have been Jesus’ way of reminding Peter of his calling to spread the Good News.
