Today’s gospel is a continuation of the road to Emmaus. The two disciples recount to the apostles what happened on the road. Jesus appears and tells them “Peace be with you”. Luke goes on to tell us that “…he [Jesus] opened their minds to understand the Scriptures”. Today pray for the graces to have a deeper faith and understanding of the word of God found in the Scriptures.
