Daily Reflection: Friday, May 28

Friday, May 28

Today, we have another reading from the Book of Sirach. This book is filled with much wisdom and insight and today’s is often used at funerals. It says: “…these were godly individuals, whose virtues have not been forgotten; their wealth remains in their families, their heritage with their descendants. Through God’s covenant with them their family endures, their posterity, for their sake. And for all time their progeny will endure, their glory will never be blotted out.” As the words of this reading remain in your memory, think of some of your loved ones and how it speaks of them.
