Daily Reflection: Saturday, May 29

Saturday, May 29

Today at Mass we remember Pope Saint Paul VI. Although he is remembered for the issue of birth control, he is even more important for the work that he did to complete the Second Vatican Council. Pope Saint John XXIII had the vision and daringness to convene the Council, but he died soon and Paul VI was left with the awesome task of putting together the documents that continue to shape the church into the future. Say a prayer for Pope Francis today- he is a strong believer in Vatican II and continues the work of implementing its documents.

Fr. Andrew
