Daily Reflection: Friday, May 7
Friday, May 7
You are my friends if you do what I command you. I no longer call you slaves, because a slave does not know what his master is doing. I have called you friends, because I have told you everything I have heard from my Father. (Jn 15:14-15)
In the Old Testament, only Abraham was called a friend of God. Moses, Joshua and David all were called slaves or servants of God. We see how special friendship with Jesus is. Jesus has revealed to his friends everything that he heard from the Father. Transparency is a buzzword for us, but it is a value for Jesus as he gathers his disciplefriends.
