Daily Reflection: Tuesday, June 6

Tuesday, June 6, 2023 – Ninth Week in Ordinary Time

In today’s gospel Jesus said, “Repay to Caesar what belongs to Caesar and to God what belongs to God”. There was division and polarization in Jesus’ time, between Roman and the religious leaders. The Pharisees were trying to trap Jesus; however, Jesus did not fall into their trap by choosing a side. In the response Jesus basically stated to give respect to each according to their worth.  Today reflect on: Do I repay to God what belongs to God? What and how do I repay God? Is God calling me to repay differently?
