Daily Reflection: Friday, June 16

Friday, June 16

On this Friday, we celebrate the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. There are three readings for this feast: Deuteronomy says “You are a people sacred to the Lord, your God; he has chosen you…”; St. John says “everyone who loves is begotten by God and knows God”; St. Matthew says: “Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened and I will give you rest.” All these readings stress God’s closeness to us and our closeness to God. Allow these thoughts to touch your heart.

Fr. Andrew
