Thursday of the Eleventh Week in Ordinary Time

Your Father knows what you need before you ask him.  (Mt 6:8)

If the Father knows, why bother to ask?  For me, it is simple.  In every circumstance, I need to acknowledge my poverty before the Lord and my dependence on God’s mercy and love.
