Thursday June 29

“Whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” These words are often used to indicate the power of the priest in confession, but I think they can also refer to the way we hold onto hurts and carry them with us. If we let go of the pain we have experienced, we are free to live more fully in God’s love and compassion. If we bind our hearts in love for others, we will be bound in it for all of our days and beyond!
