Daily Reflection: Friday, October 6

Friday, October 6

Do you know who St. Bruno is? I had to read up on this saint whose feast is today. In spite of his being a success as a scholar, he was called upon by the Pope to be a counselor. His desire was to live a contemplative life and he did this while advising the Pope. He is credited with founding the Carthusian Order who live a life of strict solitude. He said: “In the solitude and stillness of the wilderness, God gives…a peace that the world does not know and joy in the Holy Spirit.”

Fr. Andrew
