Daily Reflection: Monday, October 16

Monday October 16

“Sing to the Lord a new song. Sing joyfully to the Lord . . . break into song: sing praise.” Psalm 98

Today’s responsorial song invites us to praise God with our voices. It does not imply that only those vocally talented should sing, but everyone! When we sing, Augustine tells us we pray twice. Our Music ministry here at St. Francis does a phenomenal job of leading us in song so that we can pray with our voices. Let us join them in praising God even if our musical talent is limited. We are invited to pay attention to the words of our song prayers and join together to raise our voices as one community of believers.
