Daily Reflection: Saturday, October 21

Saturday October 21

“Brothers and sisters: It was not through the law that the promise was made to Abraham and his descendants that he would inherit the world, but through the righteousness that comes from faith.” Romans 4:13

Abraham, our father in faith, believed in God. He was rewarded for that faith by becoming the father of us all. It is faith, not works, not accomplishments, not position or power that count in God’s eyes. Faith is a gift that we need to nourish, that grows in us as we practice it in our relationship with God. Even if we doubt at times, God knows us and continues to bless us even if we are unaware of it.
