Daily Reflection: Tuesday, April 16

Tuesday, April 16, 2024 – 3rd Week of Easter

Today, we hear of the martyrdom of Stephen. How he was filled with the Holy Spirit. Our tradition holds that he was the first Christian to die for believing in Jesus as the Son of God. During his stoning, he followed Jesus’ example of forgiving those who were killing him and praising God at the same time. Are we able to forgive those who harm us and praise God when going through a difficult situation?
