Daily Reflection: Tuesday, June 28

Tuesday, June 28

Jesus is asleep during a storm in today’s Gospel. Meanwhile, his disciples with him in the boat are terrified. They wake him and tell him that they are perishing. He calms the sea. There are often storms of this kind in the Sea of Galilee. They happen suddenly; this is well known by the people in the area. There are different types of “storms”; some are even personal. We can learn from this Gospel that turning to Jesus can help us calm down which is not always the easiest thing to do.
