15th Week in Ordinary Time

 https://bible.usccb.org/bible/readings/071322.cfm

Today’s response to the psalm is The Lord will not abandon his people. How many times have we felt that people have abandoned us, especially in our time of great need? Have we abandoned family members or friends in their time of great need, because we did not want to deal with drama? Most of us do not like to deal with messy situations and the uncomfortable emotions that come with them.  However, God will not and has not abandon us. When we feel that God is so far away, it is when God is the closest to us. We are blinded by our pain.  Today pray that for those who feel that God has abandoned them, that they may feel God’s loving embrace.
