Memorial St. Bonaventure, Bishop and Doctor of the Church

https://bible.usccb.org/bible/readings/071522.cfm

In today’s gospel reading Jesus said, “I desire mercy, not sacrifice”. Sometimes when a friend or a family member hurts us, we do not want to show them mercy. We want them to suffer, to sacrifice (to lose) something in order to feel the pain we are feeling. When we have sin, God offers us mercy. God does not want us to suffer. Today pray that you may feel God’s mercy and to show that mercy to others.
