Daily Reflection: Wednesday, November 15
Wednesday November 15
By healing the ten lepers, Jesus did more than take away their illness. He restored them to their community, took away their mandated isolation. He gave them back their social and religious lives as well as their physical ones. Healing is often so much more than the obvious removal of disease. Healing, even when it does not cure, gives the afflicted one new life. We are invited to follow in the footsteps of Jesus and do all in our power to heal, to give new life, and to allow ourselves to be healed by the compassion of others.
