Friday November 17

The book of Wisdom speaks of the beauty of all creation as a reflection of the beauty of the God who created them. God is beauty! When we are in awe of the magnificence of the sea or the mountains, of the colorful plants, of the stately trees, of the warmth of the sun or the pristine beauty of a newly fallen snow we are seeing God as beauty. When we hold an infant or spend time with an aging loved one, we are connecting to the beauty that is God. So too when we look in the mirror and recognize our own beauty, we are seeing the beauty that is God!
