Daily Reflection: Monday, January 31

Monday, January 31

We conclude the month of January with our celebration of the memorial of St. John Bosco. He is the patron of young people and ministries to the young. Born into a poor family, a love for his peers began early. He saw many of his peers going in the wrong direction and a dream confirmed that he should give his life to the disadvantaged, poor youth. He once wrote: “I have promised God that until my last breath, I shall have lived for my poor young people.” His work continues on through the Salesian religious communities. The male Salesians are the largest religious community today. His dedication continues on.
