Daily Reflection: Monday, July 10
Monday, July 10
Today’s Gospel shows Jesus’ concern for two women, a young woman who had just died and a woman who had been suffering from an affliction for 12 years. The official, whose daughter had just died, asks Jesus to just lay his hands on her, believing that she will then live. The woman just wants to touch his cloak. What faith in Jesus is shown by these two people. In spite of what they are going through, they believe that Jesus can change their situation…and he does. The woman is cured and the youngster comes back to life. It is difficult to have faith when you are going through anything such as these two people did. They help us to do the same.
