Daily Reflection: Saturday, August 12

Saturday, August 12

One of the early Friars that we don’t hear much about is Blessed Benedict Sinigardi. He heard St. Francis preach in his town of Arezzo and became a follower. He was one of the first Friar missionaries to Greece, Romania, Turkey and finally to the Holy Land. It is said that he began the Angelus Prayer to mark the three times of day. He lived to be 92 years old. If you are not familiar with this prayer, google “Angelus Prayer.”
