Daily Reflection: Tuesday, February 14

Tuesday, February 14, 2023 – Memorial of St. Cyril, Monk, and St. Methodius, Bishop https://bible.usccb.org/bible/readings/021423.cfm

Today’s psalm respond is psalm 29. We read. “Give to the Lord, you sons of God, give to the Lord the glory and praise, Give to the Lord the glory due his name; adore the Lord in holy attire.” Reflecting on this sentence from the psalm, gave me a shudder! Do I praise and thank God in my prayer life or am I always asking for something for myself and others. I have to be honest that sometimes I don’t praise and thank God. Our Jewish brothers and sisters, always start their formal prayers praising God’s name and God’s greatness. I feel that this is a good lesson we can learn from them, to start our prayers with praising God’s name and thanking God for the good things that we have received.
