Daily Reflection: Saturday, February 18

Saturday, February 18, 2023 – 6th Week in Ordinary Time

Today’s Gospel reading is the Transfiguration of Jesus. We hear the voice of God telling Peter, James, and John, “This is my beloved Son. Listen to him”. One of the hardest things to do is truly listen to others. We are so busy thinking about the next thing we want to say, and how our ideas are more important that the others’ ideas, that we are unable to really listen to what is being said. Today, sit down, and ask the Holy Spirit for the grace to sit in quiet, to listen to hear Jesus speak to you.
