Daily Reflection: Wednesday, March 1

Wednesday of the First Week in Lent

This generation is an evil generation;

it seeks a sign, but no sign will be given it,

except the sign of Jonah.     (Lk 11:29)

 Nineveh was Sin City in the Old Testament.  But at the preaching of Jonah, they converted!  That’s the sign.  It is a lesson that we, too, can change.  We don’t have to be stuck in a spiritual rut.  God’s grace can change old habits and create new ways in us.  But do we want it?
