Wednesday March 8
In today’s Gospel Jesus reminds us that he did not come to be taken as an individual person, but as the Son of God. He refers the mother of the sons of Zebedee to God’s plan, not his. Jesus was always calling others to the Father, to the God with whom he was always united. We are invited not to stop at Jesus but to go with him to the Creator of all that is. Union with God is the ultimate goal, the reason for Jesus’ coming as a human being. He became one of us so that we may become one with God!
