Daily Reflection: Thursday, March 9

Thursday March 9

We are not told in today’s Gospel that the rich man was evil. We are not told that he was in torment after he died simply because he was rich. We are told that he did not see Lazarus – the man who was lying at his doorstep, and this was the reason for his condemnation. We are not allowed to remain blind to those in need. We must open our eyes so that we see all people as our sisters and brothers and care for them in their need. May we be healed of our blindness!
