So often at funerals or other difficult situations, these words are a comfort to us: “Do not let your hearts me troubled. You have faith in God; have also faith in me.” We should look at this as an invitation at these times to come close to Jesus and share your concerns and what may be troubling you. Trying to bear our burdens alone may be a temptation and we end up confused. At these times it is helpful to allow others and Jesus to enter into our lives. This doesn’t do away with what our burden is but it can lighten it.
