Feast of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary

How does this happen to me that the mother of my Lord should come to me? (Lk1:43)

In the timetable of Luke, Mary would have had no visible sign of her pregnancy.  Yet Elizabeth and John the baptist yet to be born, knew immediately.  St. Joseph knew, but no one else.  The Incarnation was still a secret.

How is the Incarnation made known today?  How can people experience it?  Mary shows us.  She went to Elizabeth to serve her.  It is as servants that we make the Lord known.
