Daily Reflection: Thursday, May 30

Thursday of the Eighth Week in Ordinary Time

Maintain good conduct among the Gentiles,

so that if the speak of you as evildoers,

they may observe your good works

and glorify God on the of visitation.   (1 Pt 2:12)

More and more people, especially young people, identify as None when it comes to religion.  Some have a relationship with God or the supernatural, but many truly have no relationship to a greater reality.  The Nones are our Gentiles.  They may reject our faith, but we should give them no cause to reject our works or our way of life.  Rather our life and works should be an occasion of wonder for them.
