Daily Reflection: Wednesday, May 29

Wednesday of the Eighth Week in Ordinary Time

Since you have purified yourselves

by obedience to the truth for sincere brotherly love,

love one another intensely from a pure heart.

You have been born anew,

not from perishable but from imperishable seed,

through the living and abiding world of God….  (1 Pt 1:22-23)

Intensely?  This calls to mind the commandment to love God with all our heart, all our soul and all our mind.  Only now, Peter applies it to our brother and sister.  This is how those born anew act.
