Tuesday of the Eighth Week in Ordinary Time

Many that are first will be last, and the last will be first.  (Mk 10:31)

Think of the people who the last are in our culture and our world/ society.  Jesus says that they will be first in the Kingdom of God.  Can I make myself one of them?  Can I, at least, be in solidarity with them, shoulder to shoulder?  Can I peacefully accept the last place, if that is my lot?
