Daily Reflection: Monday, May 27

Monday of the Eighth Week in Ordinary Time

Although you have not seen him you love him;

even though you do not see him now yet you believe in him,

you rejoice with an indescribable and glorious joy,

as you attain the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls. (1 Pt 1:8-9)

This passage is a celebration of our close relationship with Jesus.  Whatever our experience of the current moment, we know that we are with him.  All we can say is “Yes. Thank you. Amen.”

John Frambes, ofm
