Daily Reflection: Friday, September 16

Friday, Memorial of Saints Cornelius, Pope, and Cyprian, Bishop, Martyrs

Accompanying him were the Twelve and some women who had been cured of evil spirits and infirmities.  (Lk 8:12)

It is a natural response.  The women received a favor from the Lord, probably a big one, and they followed him as he journeyed from town to town proclaiming the Kingdom of God.  No doubt, they hung on his every word and their faith deepened as they witnessed his compassion.  And they were transformed.  If we accompany Jesus where he is, we, too, will experience the same grace.  Be joyful.
