In today’s gospel reading from Luke, we read how the disciples were debating about who was the greatest and the most important member of the inner circle. It is a part of our fallen human nature to want to gain positions of power. When one gets so consumed by gaining earthily power and glory one comes blind to others, especially the vulnerable, the children and the needy among us.
