Daily Reflection: Tuesday, September 27

Tuesday, September 27, 2022 – Memorial of St. Vincent de Paul, Priest

In this section of the gospel of Luke, Jesus is journeying to Jerusalem through a Samaritan village. The village would not welcome Jesus and his party. James and John wanted to admonish the village for not welcoming them. Jesus rebuked them. At times we want God to punish others, who do not think or act the way we want them to. At times we forget that we are not perfect, and we are also sinners. Let us pray for the graces we need to be able to see our own sinfulness and to gain the graces to have a conversion of heart.
