Today’s Responsorial Psalm is taken from Psalm 88. In the New American Bible entitles this psalm as A Despairing Lament. A lament is when a psalmist prays for rescue from the alienation of approaching death. The last stanza reads “Why, O Lord, do you reject me, why hide from me your face.” Does God really hide from us, or we so focused on ourselves, that we become deaf and blind to God’s answer or are we looking for the answer we want. Today pray that God will remove what is blocking you from hearing and seeing the Spirit working in your life.
