Daily Reflection: Friday, November 4

Friday, November 4

Our saint for today, St. Charles Borremeo, is an interesting character. He was appointed a cardinal while still being a layman and after his ordination, worked to move the church out of the Reformation, beginning with clergy reform. When the plague and a famine hit Milan, he worked to feed 60,000 to 70, 000 people, using resources available to him. He died at the age of 46. St. John says: “I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit, fruit that will last.”

Fr. Andrew
