Friday November 18 Luke 19:48

“All the people were hanging on [Jesus’] words.” Do we hang on the words of Jesus? Are they on our lips and in our hearts? Are the words of Jesus the guiding force in our lives? We may not have the physical presence of Jesus like the folks in today’s Gospel, but we have the gift of hindsight- we know the end of the story! We know that by his death and resurrection, Jesus conquered all sin and death. We have the promise of new life – all we have to do is follow his example and make his words a part of us.
