Novena to St. Clare of Assisi - Day Nine: Called to Self- Acceptance

At the end of her life, Clare uses the image of the mirror for Chris in a letter to St. Agnes of Prague. And she prompts Agnes: Look at this mirror, Christ, daily and see your own reflection in him. On her deathbed Clare says: Be praised, my Lord, because have created me!

I can only see myself the way that I am, with my bright and dark sides and without distortion, when I experience acceptance. Clare recommends searching for this experience while gazing at him who created me.

Novena Prayer:

St. Clare, you are our Sister on her way to Christ. We shall be like pilgrims and foreigners in this world, trustfully receiving all we need to live for the Lord.
