Daily Reflection: Monday, August 28

Monday, August 28, 2023 – St. Augustine, Memorial https://bible.usccb.org/bible/readings/082823.cfm

In today’s gospel reading, we hear Jesus warning the crowds not to be like the scribes and Pharisees. He warns us not to be hypocrites and blind fools. The religious leaders were making it hard for people to be faithful to God. They want to keep God’s favor for just themselves. Today, reflect on: are we blind fools are we hypocrites trying to keep people out of God’s favor? Today ask for the grace to remove our blindness and any hypocrisies with in us.
