Daily Reflection: Wednesday, September 6

Wednesday, September 6

At today’s Mass, the Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians begins by thanking God for the Christians of Colossae and for the love that they have shown one another. It was not easy to be a Christian in a setting where so many were unbelievers. How true this is even today. It seems that when the early Christians heard the Word, they didn’t just hear it, but allowed it to sink in and form their lives and their way of living. That’s what we try to do. Today we ask the Lord to “nurture in us what is good…and to keep safe what (has been) nurtured.”

Fr. Andrew
