There is the great event of Jesus helping Simon Peter and the other fishermen in today’s Gospel. This is followed by Jesus’ calling Simon Peter, James and John to

follow him and they will be making a different type of “catch.” It says that they “left everything and followed him.” How brave they were! Much can be learned from this.
