Monday of the Twenty-third Week in Ordinary Time

I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake…

to bring to completion for you the word of God….  (Col 1:24ff)

I had to leave out too much to get this quote.  Paul mentions his labors and the great things that are happening for the church on account of the gospel’s being preached.  What I see in Paul is a life lived for the sake of others.  He is a role model for all who call themselves disciples.
