Daily Reflection: Tuesday, September 12

Tuesday of the Twenty-third Week in Ordinary Time

As you received Christ Jesus the Lord, walk in him, rooted in him and built upon him and established in the faith as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.  (Col 2:6-7)

We usually talk about walking with the Lord.  “He walks with me and he talks with me….”  The Pauline writer may mean walking according the Lord’s teaching, but I like to think of walking with or in the Lord as an expression of our wonderful friendship with the Lord.  Imagine walking with Jesus, his heart and ours completely open to each other.  It is a joyous thing, abounding in thanksgiving.
