Daily Reflection: Wednesday, September 13

Memorial of St. John Chrysostom, Bishop and Doctor

Here there is not Greek and Jew, circumcision and uncircumcision, barbarian, Scythian, slave , free; but Christ is all and in all.   (Col 3:11)

The church is the “here” about which St. Paul writes.  Because Christ is in all, no one is excluded because of their ethnicity or status.  All are welcome.

Broadening the concept of Christ being all and in all, we can find him everywhere and in in everyone.  It is a happy thing to see Christ in everyone.  The search for him is worth the effort, maybe especially with mean or disagreeable people.
