Daily Reflection: Friday, February 23

Friday, February 23, 2024 – Friday of the First Week of Lent

In today’s gospel reading we read “…if you bring your gift to the altar, and there recall that your brother/sister has anything against you, leave your gift there at the altar, go first and be reconciled with your brother/sister, and then come and offer your gift.” Is there anyone that I need to forgive or ask for forgiveness from them? If I can be reconciled, then do so. Sometimes, we are unable to be reconciled because it would be safer not to be in their physical presence or they are no longer here, we still can still forgive or be forgiven. This is done through prayer or through a ritual action. Today pray for the graces to be reconciled with those who we need to be.
