Saturday, February 24, 2024 – Saturday of the First Week of Lent

 In the gospel reading gives us a very difficult task; to pray for those who we do not get along with. “Jesus said to his disciples: You have heard that it was said, You shall love you neighbor and hate your enemy. But I say to you, love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you…” This does not mean that we have to be best friends. When we do pray, we pray that God gives them what they need to live a life of holiness. It is not asking God to change them the way we want the to be.
